Alleged Sex Cult Mastermind Keith Raniere To Rot In Jail For Months Until Trial
Sept. 19 2018, Published 4:52 p.m. ET
Alleged Sex cult mastermind Keith Raniere will not have a chance of tasting freedom from prison for months to come because his trial has officially been pushed to next year, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
Raniere is accused of racketeering and sex crimes along with Smallville actress, Allison Mack, and four others for their involvement in alleged cult NXIVM.
Raniere's attorneys were originally pushing for a fall 2018. But according to new documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, a federal court judge confirmed the earliest a trial may begin is January 7, 2019.
"The crimes alleged in this indictment relate to over a dozen separate schemes and include a racketeering conspiracy that spanned over fifteen years," the judge stated in the court filling.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Raniere has been told multiple times from U.S. attorneys that they would not approve any bail package set forth by the cult leader's attorneys.
In June, a judge balked at Raniere's request to be released on a $10 million bond. At the time, the judge called Raniere "worthless" because Raniere has "no ordinary job, no income" and "no assets," RadarOnline.com reported.

Despite the bad news for Raniere, the cult mastermind continues to be "adamant about his innocence," CBC documentarian Josh Bloch previously told RadarOnline.com.
Raniere, Mack and four others are accused of operating an inner sex ring in NXIVM. Bizarre rituals of its members included the cult's branding practice, which allegedly burned Mack and Raniere's initials into their alleged slaves' flesh using cauterizing irons.
