'Alaskan Bush People' Star Matt Brown Enters Rehab
Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown has entered rehab for alcohol abuse after suffering another relapse, a rep for the hit Discovery show told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
The 36-year-old son of Billy Brown and his cancer-stricken wife, Ami, has been battling his addiction demons for years.
"Matt could no longer hide his drinking anymore and he chose to voluntarily check himself into treatment in order to save his life," a family friend told RadarOnline.com.
"I struggle with substance abuse, and after a year of ups and downs, I decided to return to treatment. I'm really grateful for everyone's support and hope to have my life back on track soon, Matt told People Magazine.
"This is the second time that he has gone to rehab and the family is grateful that he chose to get the help he needed," the family insider noted, adding, "Everyone was worried about him and also incredibly supportive of his decision."
Matt was arrested in Juneu, Alaska, for DUI on Aug. 30, 2013. According to a police report obtained by RadarOnline.com at the time, Matt was pulled over at 4:45 a.m. after witnesses claimed he hit a parked motorcycle with a 1986 Volvo in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

"I could see myself spiraling. I was more withdrawn. I was slower. Things didn't excite me the way they used to," Matt said after his first stint in treatment back in 2016.
