Cult Like! Meghan Markle's Dad Thomas Compares Royal Family To Scientology
Thomas Markle has blasted the British Royal Family in yet another blistering interview.
"They are cult-like—like Scientology—because they are secretive... They close the door, pull the shades down and put their fingers in their ears so they don't have to hear," the 74-year-old told The Sun. "Maybe they have a secret handshake too! You cannot ask a question of them—as they won't answer."
Markle has been giving a lot of interviews recently, but so far The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry have not commented. Markle remains estranged from his daughter.
Markle received support from Princess Diana's former bodyguard Ken Wharfe.
"I don't think we should dismiss her father, as someone who made mistakes here, as an ogre," he told Yahoo News. His behavior is a result of poor advice or no advice."
He believes that the Royal Family should have known about the problems even before Harry and Meghan got engaged last December.
He explained that the Markle family were "ordinary folk, divorced, living in a foreign land and suddenly their daughter's marrying a prince."
Several celebrities like Tom Cruise and John Travolta are members of The Church Of Scientology that is banned in several countries.
