Reward money earmarked for information leading to the return of missing college student Mollie Tibbetts will now be used to catch her killer.

Greg Willey of Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa said the roughly $400,000 his group has raised from hundreds of donors for tips on the Tibbetts case will now go toward a new goal.

"Once they catch their breath, this will turn into a weapon going the other direction, to catch the person who did it," Willey said.

Tibbetts vanished on July 18 after she went for a jog near her hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa.

Tragically, Tibbett’s father, Rob, told Fox that his daughter’s body was found today after investigators had conducted a massive month-long hunt for the 20-year-old.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, a source revealed there was a search “deep in farmland” last night, and about 15 unmarked police cars and two marked cars surrounded the scene.

“A body was located yesterday in a secluded area near a point of interest,” a separate source also told RadarOnline.com at the time. “We have reason and evidence to believe it is Mollie Tibbetts.”

The place in Poweshiek County in Central Iowa where the corpse was found is located near the property of Wayne Cheney, the pig farmer who was questioned in relation to the missing jogger’s disappearance.
