Matthew Perry On Death’s Door: 'Friends' Star Rushed To ICU, Undergoes Tracheostomy

Troubled Matthew Perry recently suffered a serious medical crisis that left him fighting for his life, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

The former Friends star, 48 — who has appeared bloated, bleary-eyed and disheveled in recent years — was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital for “severe stomach pains,” a source told RadarOnline.com.

He underwent a tracheostomy — a surgery to create an opening in the neck for direct access to the throat.

After medical complications, the actor was transferred to the intensive care unit of a second Los Angeles medical facility.

“He was in bad shape, and only recently has shown signs of improvement,” a source told RadarOnline.com. "But he's still not well."

A rep for Perry told RadarOnline.com the star "recently underwent surgery in a Los Angeles hospital to repair a gastrointestinal perforation."

After getting sober and creating a halfway house for addicts, Perry shut down his recovery business, RadarOnline.com exclusively reported in 2016, and has seemingly gone on a downward spiral in recent years.

According to reports, he allegedly asked a porn star lover for opiates in 2017.

He previously confessed to suffering from addiction and alcoholism in the 90’s, during his Friends heyday.

“I had a big problem with pills and alcohol, and I couldn't stop,” he told People in 2013, boasting about his newfound sobriety.

He has never confirmed his suspected relapse.
