Colorado Father Charged With Murder In Deaths Of Pregnant Wife And Two Children

Colorado father Christopher Watts now faces murder charges in the death of his pregnant wife and two children.
According to documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Watts was charged on Monday, Aug. 20 with five counts of first-degree murder, three counts of tampering with a dead body, and once count for for the “unlawful termination of his wife's pregnancy.”
As RadarOnline.com first reported, Watts gained national attention on Monday Aug. 13, when he made a teary, televised plea after his pregnant wife and two daughters went mysteriously missing.
Just two days later, the 33-year-old was taken into custody after allegedly admitting to family members that he had killed them all.
The next day, police in the town of Frederick, Colorado said they believe they had found the bodies of Bella, 4, and Celeste Watts, 3, the daughters of Shanann Watts, 34, and Christopher.
Speaking to reporters after the charges were announced, Shanann’s father Frank Sr. expressed his appreciation for finding his daughter’s killer.
"Thank you for working so hard to find my daughter, granddaughters and Niko,” he said. “Thank you everyone for coming out to the vigil and keep the prayers coming for our family. Thank you very much."
Shannan and her girls went missing this Monday, after Shannan—who was four months pregnant— left her daughters with their dad over the weekend. She had reportedly been getting ready to leave Christopher, before he went on his vicious killing spree.
Christopher is expected to be formally read the charges in the courtroom tomorrow morning.
