Colorado's most evil dad Chris Watts “cared more about the dog,” than his family, his neighbor told RadarOnline.com exclusively in a shocking interview that reveals the pet was heard howling the day his wife and children were murdered.

The alleged murderer has been arrested for the brutal slayings of his pregnant wife, Shanann, and daughters, Bella and Celeste, who disappeared on Monday.

His neighbor, Cheryle Hallowell, 68, lives two houses away from the Watts family and she shared her first-hand knowledge of his affection for the dog, a Dachshund, over the family.

"He was barking up until the cops took him away,” Hallowell told RadarOnline.com about the family dog this week. “Someone must have gone and got him later.”

Hallowell said she was very familiar with the animal.

“The dog made more noise than the family did,” she told RadarOnline.com. “When I'm out on my deck, I hear him barking, and I knew it came from them.”

The neighbor gave RadarOnline.com a haunting insight into life inside the Watts’ home this week.

“And on this one particular day, that the family went missing, I could hear him,” Hallowell said about the dog.

“It was like he was being punished, or hurt or something. He was just howling. Because we had a dog, I said ‘What the hell is that all about?’

“So, we called the police and asked him to check on the dog. And it turned out that he was okay. They did a wellness check on the dog.”

Authorities have revealed that they believe Chris killed Shanann, Bella and Celeste in the home. Their bodies were found on Anadarko Petroleum Corporation’s property, where Chris was employed.

“I don't know if at the time of the murders, if the dog was in the house, he may have put him outside at the time or something,” Hallowell told RadarOnline.com.

“It seemed to me like he cared more about the dog,” Hallowell told RadarOnline.com.

Chris was arrested on Wednesday for the murders of his pregnant wife and young daughters and he allegedly confessed to their killings. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 21, 2018 and is being held without bail.
