Alaskan Bush People patriarch Billy Brown and cancer-stricken wife Ami mysteriously left Alaskan in 2017 — leaving their hit Discovery show in limbo, and now the 64-year-old family patriarch revealed exclusively to RadarOnline.com why they'll never return to The Last Frontier.

“Unfortunately, we can never move back to Alaska,” Billy told RadarOnline.com. “We were told that we must always be near a hospital so that Ami can receive treatment for her cancer. And when we were told that, we made a choice to leave and now we must always live by that choice no matter what.”

And although Ami’s cancer was said to be in remission, Billy revealed that it is “not actually gone.”

“She still has stage 0 primary, and there are still traces. But they took the majority out, and the growth is really slow,” the father-of-seven said.

“She is doing good, but the docs made it clear that we have to live in a place where she can go to the hospital at any time.”

According to Billy’s son Gabe Brown, the execs at Discovery were 100 percent supportive of the family’s decision to leave.

I didn’t know if they were going to follow us when we had to leave Alaska. But they were really good about it and followed us every stage. They told us, ‘we are with you and we want to see this through,” Gabe told RadarOnline.com.

“Thank God for that,” Billy added. “They had our backs all the way. Cancer affects so many people out there. It is a world that most people don’t even realize.”
