Tom Cruise Says Val Kilmer Is ‘Doing Great’ After Bizarre Scientology Cure
Tom Cruise has given fans a much-awaited update on pal Val Kilmer’s health.
In a recent interview with Extra, the Top Gun hunk said that it’s been a “special” experience working with costar Kilmer, 58, and that despite his throat cancer battle, “he’s doing really well!”
As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, a Scientology insider claimed Cruise, 56, “insists he can cure illnesses and injuries with his touch,” and he couldn’t wait to try out his powers with Kilmer!
“It was very simple. Tom used the ‘touch assist’ method by touching Val and instructing him to ‘feel my finger,’” explained the insider. “Tom ended the bizarre session by saying, ‘End of assist.’ And poof! Val started to feel a whole lot better."
Kilmer reportedly is feeling great after years of dealing with his aggressive cancer, and has only gotten closer to Cruise following his bizarre healing “assist.”

After giving an update on Kilmer’s health in the interview, Cruise also spoke of his own health scare, saying that breaking his ankle while filming his own stunts for Mission Impossible: Fallout was “definitely unpleasant.”
“I knew instantly when it happened… I was like, 'Dammit, I broke it,'” recalled Cruise.
“They were concerned if I'd be able to run again. I was like, 'No, I'm gonna be running again,'” he continued. “They said maybe in six months. And I had to be running in the next couple of weeks.”
The actor added that he went through “intense” physical therapy to recover but went back to work as soon as he could and is now doing well.
Mission Impossible: Fallout comes to theaters July 27.
