Liam Payne & Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Announce They Have Split Via Twitter

One Direction star Liam Payne has split with his girlfriend Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
The couple took to social media on Sunday to tell their fans in a joint statement.
It read: "We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together."
The couple share a one-year-old son, Bear, and were together for over two years.
But in recent times they have not been seen together and many insiders said that they had drifted apart.
They had not been seen together publicly in four months, with February's BRIT Awards the last time fans saw them walking the carpet together.
And more recently Cheryl spent her 35th birthday without seeing Liam, 24 after posting pictures from her party.
However, he failed to acknowledge the birthday on social media despite flying back to the United Kingdom at that time - the singer has been trying to establish himself as a solo artist in recent times.
