Joe Duggar's Wife Kendra Caldwell Had To Be Rushed To Hospital
As Friday night's Counting On special, "Joe and Kendra's First Baby" showed, Joe Duggar's teen wife Kendra Caldwell had struggled through labor and had to be rushed to the hospital.
And in a bizarre twist, Kendra talked about how her own mother was pregnant at the same time!
The couple's son Garrett was born on June 8, ten months after their wedding, but viewers went back in time and finally saw all the drama on the TLC special.
On the show, Joe, 23, talked his wife, 19, through the start of her labor.
"I don't like seeing Kendra going through pain," Joe said on camera.
Kendra revealed that her mother Christina was pregnant at the same time as her. Christina was expecting her eighth child!
"We found out that my mom was expecting about a month ago," Kendra said on the special.
"I think this has definitely been really interesting because we've been able to share a lot of things that we didn't get to share before so I feel like we've become even more like friends. And I guess our relationship has gone more to a different level, I guess," Kendra told the cameras.
Joe and Kendra began courting in March 2017 and got married on September 8, 2017.
During her labor shown on TLC, Kendra learned how to breathe though her contractions and hoped to be able to sleep.
But at 2 a.m., she called in family members, including Joe's sister Jessa Seewald, for help.
After six hours of labor, Kendra was rushed to the hospital as Joe drove her on the "smooth roads."
They arrived at the hospital at 5 a.m., where a doctor broke her water.

"I can't hardly breathe," Kendra gasped. "I feel so bad."
After some tough hours, Kendra finally was able to push out the boy they named Garrett.
"We thought that's a great, strong name … for a strong leader," said Joe, whose grandpa was named Garrett.
"When you see the baby, it's just such a miracle, it's hard to believe," the happy new mom gushed.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Joe's sister Jill, who is married to controversial Derick Dillard, had to undergo two C-sections in having their two boys.
Jill, a midwife, is a home birth enthusiast but she had two difficult births and Kendra also wound up having her Duggar baby in the hospital.
