Hall of Fame jockey Victor Espinoza is recovering in hospital after his horse collapsed and died during training.
Bobby Abu Dhabi died while training at Del Mar, California, on Sunday before taking part in a series of races.
The jockey was left lying motionless on the turf after the incident before paramedics ran to his aid.
According to the latest reports he regained consciousness and suffered shoulder injuries.
