Abby Lee Miller To Undergo Two More Rounds Of Chemo Amid Cancer Battle: ‘She’s Fighting!’
July 24 2018, Updated 12:06 p.m. ET
Abby Lee Miller just finished her fifth round of chemotherapy – and she still has a long way to go. RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the Dance Moms star isn’t finished with her treatment for Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
“This will not be her last chemo,” a source close to Miller told Radar. “She has a couple of more rounds and then they’ll test to see how she’s doing. It’s two more rounds then a test.”
The insider added how Miller, 51, is “feeling good.”
“She’s fighting,” the source said.
Miller revealed over Instagram that she had completed her fifth round of treatment.
“I just finished my 5th round of chemo,” she captioned a photo of her putting mascara on in her hospital bed. “I think I deserve a little treat today, so I’m putting my makeup just in case!”
The source explained how they celebrated with a trip to the movies.
Miller underwent emergency surgery in April after being hospitalized shortly after her release from prison to a halfway house. She was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for not reporting an international monetary transaction and concealing bankruptcy assets.
She was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma after doctors initially believed she had an infection in her spine.
Despite her diagnosis, she may be returning to Dance Moms.
A second source previously told Radar, “They have started filming and apparently they will pick up from inside the hospital where Abby needs to build a team from scratch. She’s starting all over, a full reset."
Although she’s currently battling cancer at a Los Angeles hospital, she is expected to “go back to her roots in Pittsburg to build a new ALDC team with all new unknown names.”
“The idea is to have the same format,” the insider said of dancers learning routines before weekend competitions. “Choreographer Gianna Martello will be back and will have a bigger role. Like in some of the episodes where Abby wasn’t around.”
Miller confirmed the return on her Instagram. She captioned a photo of her with a camera man, “Back to work… Lights, Camera, Action! #Dancemoms.”
