Busted! Tyler Baltierra Ordered To Pay Thousands In Shady Home Renovation Lawsuit
Tyler Baltierra has been ordered to pay up amid his growing debt! The Teen Mom OG star was sued for failing to obtain the proper construction permits for home renovations. Now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the outcome of his court battle.
As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, Burtchville Township filed a lawsuit against Catelynn Lowell’s husband on December 21, 2017.
“After initially performing any work without permits, the Township discovered work was being performed and provided notice that permits must be obtained for the construction on the property,” the court papers read. “Mr. Baltierra, through his agent Catelynn Baltierra, did put a building permit application on or about March 27, 2017 claiming only work being done on the siding, front porch and gable gutters.”
But Baltierra, 26, did not pay the $583 due for the application and permit.
The Plaintiff then claimed Baltierra did more work on the home than described in the building permit application.
“The property was displayed on an episode of the television show Teen Mom showing electrical and plumbing work,” the court papers continued. “The work was in violation of Township Ordinance for failure to obtain electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other permits so that the work could be done by appropriately licensed professionals and inspect by the Township.”
The Plaintiff also alleged that he did not apply for the appropriate system permits and that the work on the property was not inspected.
In court papers filed on May 23, Baltierra permitted inspection of the premises by Burtchville Township building, electrical and plumbing inspectors. All necessary repairs have been completed and approved by the inspectors.
Baltierra was ordered to pay the Plaintiff $2,088 in permit expenses, filing fees, previously assessed fines for permit violations and attorneys fees.
