Police Open Investigation Into Death Of Bode Miller's 19-Month-Old Daughter
Cops are now investigating the death of Olympian Bode Miller’s 19-month-old daughter after her tragic drowning, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
A spokeswoman for the Orange County Sherriff's Department in California confirmed the open death investigation to RadarOnline.com on Tuesday morning. The investigation will determine the "mode and manner" of Emeline Grier Miller’s death.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Emeline passed away on Sunday, June 10 after allegedly falling into a pool at a neighbor’s backyard party.
Police will be conducting interviews to determine whether there was any criminal activity in the toddler’s sudden passing. However, an officer at the Orange County Sheriff’s Department told RadarOnline.com the department believes it was just a horrific accident.
“We’re pretty sure it was an accident,” said Public Information Officer Carrie Braun. “There’s no criminal investigation into this case at all. There is currently an open death investigation.”
Bode and his wife, Morgan Beck, will welcome their fifth child this October.
The married couple opened up about his daughter’s tragic passing on Monday.
“We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this,” Miller and Beck wrote in a joint statement this Monday. “Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to it’s fullest everyday. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time.”
