Meghan Markle’s constant drama with her family involved messy financial squabbles, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

In the months before the former Suits actress’ big wedding to Prince Harry, Thomas Markle reached out to his daughter to ask for money at least two times, an insider told RadarOnline.com.

However, both times Meghan shut down her troubled father.

“Meghan refused,” the source claimed. “She didn’t give a reason as to why not, she just said no.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Hollywood lighting director turned international recluse was accused of staging photos, and then said he suffered a heart attack. He told reporters he wasn’t going to the wedding due to the scandal, before changing his mind twice.

On May 17, Meghan released a statement via Kensington Palace confirming her father would not be attending the royal festivities.

A source told RadarOnline.com this week that she hoped her mother, Doria Ragland, would walk her down the aisle instead.

Meghan and her father were once “very close,” a separate source told RadarOnline.com, but became estranged soon after she found fame.
