"We aren't close," he said. "But I'm sick of hearing his homophobic cries for publicity."

He continued how he believes Dillard's homophobic comments are "embarrassing" and "offensive."

"Derick needs to keep his mouth shut," he said. "We don't have to agree with someone's life, but don't speak out publically when you know you're already disliked by half of America. As a public figure, he should stop being so harsh."

Studdard, who is an LGBTQ activist, added, "I believe love is everywhere. Everyone should just be happy!"

He even reached out to his cousin-in-law over Twitter, but Dillard never responded.

As readers know, Dillard slammed Jazz Jennings, who is the star of TLC's I Am Jazz, for being transgender.

"A 'reality' show which follows a non-reality," he tweeted about the I Am Jazz star in August. "'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid. It's ordained by God."

Then in November he tweeted, "I pity Jazz, 4 those who take advantage of him in order 2 promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions 2 be made by a child."

After the comments, TLC released in a statement that he would no longer be featured on the show.

But the firing didn't stop Dillard from continuing his tirade of hate, he as slammed TLC star Nate Berkus and his husband Jeremiah Brent in April.

"What a travesty of family," he wrote. "It's sad how blatant the liberal agenda is, such that it both highlights and celebrates a lifestyle so degrading to children on public television as if it should be normal."
