John McCain, who has been battling brain cancer for months, is making his final plans and they don't include his hated rival, President Donald Trump!

Sources close to the Arizona Senator said to the New York Times and NBC News that McCain's people have told the White House that he doesn't want Trump to attend his funeral; he would like Vice President Mike Pence to go instead.

But what about McCain's secret love, actress Connie Stevens?

Sources exclusively told RadarOnline.com last fall that McCain, 81, has been saying tender private goodbyes to Stevens, 79.

McCain, who is married to second wife Cindy, 63, is head over heels with the blonde singer-actress, an insider claimed to RadarOnline.com.

"John's carried a torch for Connie for decades and dreamed of meeting her years before he finally did in the '90s. He thinks she's the most beautiful creature he ever saw," the source said.

"He's been secretly calling her. Just hearing her voice brings happy tears to his eyes."

The insider says the feeling is mutual for Stevens, who played Cricket Blake in '60s TV series Hawaiian Eye.

"There's no doubt John McCain was — and still IS — very important to her," the source said.

The pair first met in 1997 when Connie, mom of two daughters with second hubby Eddie Fisher, visited Washington, D.C., while making a Vietnam documentary.

"They've been close friends ever since," said the insider.

Now Stevens, and all Americans, are sad about McCain's dire diagnosis. The war hero has been battling an aggressive form of brain cancer for nearly a year and is at home in Arizona after undergoing surgery last month for an intestinal infection.

The man who ran for President in 2008 and lost to Barack Obama said in an audio excerpt this week of his forthcoming memoir, "I don't know how much longer I'll be here."

McCain feuded with Trump after the brash billionaire shocked the public during the 2016 presidential campaign by saying the senator was considered a war hero during the Vietnam War only because "he was captured." Trump contemptuously said he preferred military figures who avoided being captured.

Last summer, Trump slammed McCain for his "no" vote on the Obamacare repeal bill, which doomed it in the Senate.

Trump didn't attend former first lady Barbara Bush's recent funeral in Houston, Texas, instead sending FLOTUS Melania.

Former Presidents Obama and George W. Bush are set to eulogize McCain at his funeral, which is to be held at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., the source close to McCain told NBC.

It looks like the end could be near as friends of McCain have visited him recently in Arizona, including former Vice President Joe Biden.

CBS reportedly has already prepared McCain's obituary.

Now the question is, will McCain's secret love Stevens be attending his funeral?
