A celebrity chef has had his TV show canceled over child porn charges.

The Fort Pierce, Florida, based chef Scott Calhoun got in hot water over the charges and was axed immediately by Five Star Option LLC and parent company Dawn's Light LLC from May 18.

The 48-year-old was arrested on both child porn and drug charges according to St Lucie County Sheriff's Office.

Calhoun was served a warrant charging him with 13 counts of child pornography.

He was also charged with being in possession of a controlled substance, according to reports.

The Operation Desert Storm veteran was released from jail on $185,000 bail.

He had been planning a new show which had a working title 'A Five Star Option' which aimed to follow him as he searched for local ingredients around Florida to turn into 'five star star' meals.

Filming had already taken place on several pilot episodes before the scandal broke and he was axed.

Calhoun, who reportedly had a wife and six children, became known for pop-up restaurants and being a gourmet chef through his business Café de la Calhoun.
