Let Lester Go! Megyn After Holt's Job As 'Nightly News' Anchor's Ratings Tank

Watch your back, Lester Holt Megyn Kelly is gunning for your gig, and NBC bigwigs just might give it to her!

With Lester’s ratings on “NBC Nightly News” slipping, insiders snitched exclusively to RadarOnline.com that ambitious Megyn sees a golden opportunity to land herself in the anchor chair.

Network spies speculated that by moving Megyn to evenings, NBC could kill two birds with one stone: They’d bolster the “Nightly News” ratings and eliminate the “Today” show headache Megyn has created.

“Lester is getting creamed by David Muir at ABC News, and NBC brass is desperate for a quick fix,” a network insider told Radar.

“Plus, Megyn is universally despised at ‘Today.’ She came in with all this hype, and she hasn’t produced ratings. But NBC would like to try and get their money’s worth from her, somehow.”

Megyn’s morning flop couldn’t come at a worse time for Lester, who’s reeling from negative reviews he received for his gaffes as on-air host at the Winter Olympics in South Korea.

In one embarrassing incident, he offered up a cheery report from an apparently bustling ski resort in totalitarian North Korea — only to discover later it was a facility that had been dressed up as a propaganda tool for dictator Kim Jong-un!

“Lester can’t afford those kinds of mistakes,” the source spilled. “If he can’t bring in ratings, NBC would consider replacing him with Megyn.”
