Pippa Middleton is pregnant with her first child.

She is expecting the baby with her financier husband 42-year-old James Matthews.

It is understood Pippa is 12 weeks along in her pregnancy according to her latest scan.

The good news comes after her family was rocked by the news that her father-in-law David Matthews, 74, was accused of rape.

A source revealed: "The Duchess Of Cambridge could not have been more delighted on learning little sister Pippa was pregnant."

Kate, 36, is due to give birth to her third child this week and she was one of the first people Pippa told regarding her baby joy.

Pippa, 34, and her husband got married last May and they has been anxious to start a family.

A source revealed: "Pippa and James have always known they wanted children.

"They have made the most of their first few months of marriage and felt the time was right to expand their family."
