Meghan Markle Dumped First Husband 'Totally Out Of The Blue'

Meghan Markle is under fire! A new book by Princess Diana's biographer, Andrew Morton, has revealed the former Suits actress ended her first marriage completely abruptly, and left her husband confused and heartbroken.

According to an excerpt from Meghan, A Hollywood Princess published by The Sunday Times, Prince Harry's now-fiancée began dating producer Trevor Engelson after catching his eye at a dive bar. At the time, Meghan was starting her career as an actress, and held a cheeky role at Deal Or No Deal.

"Trevor went from cherishing Meghan to, as one friend observed, 'feeling like he was a piece of something stuck to the bottom of her shoe,'" wrote Morton in his fiery book.

Engelson, 41, made sure to get his revenge, however, as RadarOnline.com readers know he's working on airing a new TV show about his ex-wife's royal fairytale!

Morton's tell-all book comes after Meghan's childhood friend bashed her for dumping her first husband and running off to Hollywood to be a star. Ninaki Priddy told reporters Meghan was always "very calculated" in how she treated people and always hoped to be famous. She was also allegedly obsessed with the royal family before she got set up with Harry, and even had a book about his mother, Princess Diana, on her bookshelf!

Despite the drama surrounding their nuptials, Meghan and Harry, 33, will wed on May 19 at Windsor Castle in England.

Ever since the two announced their engagement, the brunette beauty has been under intense scrutiny — with multiple sources digging into her troubled family, nude photos and embarrassing past. While it is somewhat frowned upon for a member of the royal family to marry a divorcée, Queen Elizabeth has reportedly become more lenient with the palace rules — not that Meghan would ever be one to follow them!
