Matt Damon is running to distance himself from bad-boy bestie Ben Affleck!

“Ben is radioactive!” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

The Good Will Hunting Oscar winners have been thick as thieves for decades, but Affleck's headline-making antics have Damon steering clear to save both his marriage and his career, according to sources.

“Matt’s wife, Luciana, has banned Ben from their lives!” an insider spilled.

It was bad enough when he broke the heart of America’s sweetheart, Jennifer Garner, by getting caught with his pants down with the nanny. Then revelations of his longtime bromance with sex abuser Harvey Weinstein surfaced.

Now Affleck's the last person Damon’s wife wants near him, a source spilled.

“Matt and Luciana are close to Jen,” said the source. “Now she wants to keep Matt clear of Ben!”

But it’s not just Luciana who has built a firewall around Damon. Spies said his professional advisers are also worried about his reputation.

Matt’s taken heat for ill-conceived comments that seemed to question some of the #MeToo accusers, and his handlers want to keep him from further tarnishing his image.

“Matt and Luciana have been buddying up with Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky in Australia for weeks,” a source spilled. “It’s like Ben never existed.”
