Kanye And John End Feud Over Trump At Chrissy Teigen's Baby Shower
Kanye West and John Legend appeared to bury the hatchet on Friday night at Chrissy Teigen's baby shower--after their bitter feud over President Donald Trump.
On April 27, the rapper, 40, shared a selfie of him and Legend, 39, from Legend's wife Teigen's shower following bizarre texting back and forth about West's support for Trump. "We got love. Agree to disagree," West wrote as a caption of himself posing happily with Legend.
The pals also danced to a new song by West about the "sunken place." West's wife Kim Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner also partied it up at the shower as Teigen expects her second child with Legend.
West posted a video of R & B star Legend performing his hit "Ordinary People" at the bash, captioning it, "Lead With Love," in a further sign the singers are all good now.
The controversial "Gold Digger" rapper stunned fans this week by Tweeting that he considered President Trump "his brother," and said "the mob can't make me not love him."
Trump responded on Twitter, Thank you, Kanye. Very cool."
But followers questioned West's sanity as he posted a photo showing off his Trump-signed red "Make America Great Again" hat hours before he was seen wearing it while leaving a recording studio.
West also blasted those who would try to shut down independent thought, and supported polarizing black conservative Candace Owens. On Thursday, West tweeted a screenshot of what Legend texted him, which read, "Hey it’s JL. I hope you’ll reconsider aligning yourself with Trump. You’re way too powerful and influential to endorse who he is and what he stands for. As you know, what you say really means something to your fans. They are loyal to you and respect your opinion."
Legend continued in the text, "So many people who love you feel so betrayed right now because they know the harm that Trump’s policies cause, especially to people of color. Don’t let this be part of your legacy. You’re the greatest artist of our generation."
However, West texted Legend back, "I love you John and I appreciate your thoughts," but also snapped, "You bringing up my fans or my legacy is a tactic based on fear used to manipulate my free thought."

Many fans were outraged that West had made their text battle public. Legend and wife Teigen are ultra-liberal Hillary Clinton supporters who can't abide Trump.

Still, West and Legend put their differences aside to celebrate Teigen, 32, who will soon give birth to her second baby. She and her husband recently threw a lavish birthday party for their daughter Luna as she turned 2.
West isn't backing down on his Trump support despite his friends' efforts. He released a new song, "Ye vs. the People" featuring rapper T.I., that has West rapping, "I know Obama was heaven-sent, but ever since Trump won, it proved that I could be President."
According to a RadarOnline.com source, wife Kim, 37, is beside herself over West's Twitter "meltdown" and feud with Legend.
"Kim flipped out on Kanye, and told him that he needs to stop the madness, now," a source close to the superstar couple said. "She couldn’t believe he would do that."
