Kanye West is not backing down! In his latest Twitter drama, the rapper shared a screenshot of his text conversation with pal John Legend, in which the “All of Me” singer advised West, 40, not to show so much support for Donald Trump.

“Hey it’s JL. I hope you’ll reconsider aligning yourself with Trump. You’re way too powerful and influential to endorse who he is and what he stands for. As you know, what you say really means something to your fans. They are loyal to you and respect your opinion,” Legend, 39, texted West this Thursday afternoon. “So many people who love you feel so betrayed right now because they know the harm that Trump’s policies cause, especially to people of color. Don’t let this be a part of your legacy. You’re the greatest artist of our generation.”

West also shared his icy response, which read: “I love you John and I appreciate your thoughts. You bringing up my fans or my legacy is a tactic based on fear used to manipulate my free thought.”

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Legend’s suggestion to West came after the father-of-three shared photos of himself wearing a “Make American Great Again” hat, and later tweeted various messages endorsing controversial president Donald Trump, 71.

Various angry fans pointed out how inappropriate it was that West shared the bizarre personal exchange all over social media. Explaining his decision to display such personal messages, West wrote: “I tweeted the John text to show that there are people around me that disagree with me and voice their opinion. I respect everyone's opinion but I stand my ground.”

“If you feel something don't let peer pressure manipulate you,” he later added.

It didn’t end there! After receiving much backlash from fans, West posted another screenshot of his texts with Legend.

“Think freely. Think with empathy and context too. Your words and actions have consequences. Much love,” wrote Legend after West’s odd reply. “And since you’re posting texts, let me add that I have a new single out haha.”

The conversation then took a lighter turn, with West tweeting: “I really appreciate this dialogue with John Legend because I'm actually very empathetic. Im still the kid from the telethon. I feel when people think of MAGA they don't think of empathy.”

He even took time to promote Legend’s new album!

Meanwhile, outspoken model Chrissy Teigen also responded to the awkward exchange between West and her hubby.

“Everyone keeps asking me to comment on s**t. Comment on psycho Tami Lasagna, whom I refuse to give the joy to, say something about RHOA, speak up about kanye. When it comes to people we know, we DO speak up. To THEM. not on Twitter. And sometimes, I guess it makes it to Twitter,” she wrote.
