Jen’s Shame: Justin's Uncle Accused Of Sexually Abusing 15-Year-Old Former Student

Jennifer Aniston narrowly escaped in-law hell! Her ex Justin Theroux's poet uncle was sued by a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was a 15-year-old prep school student, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

According to United States District Court court documents filed on April 27, 2017 and obtained by RadarOnline.com, Alexander Theroux — Justin’s uncle on his father Eugene’s side — was accused by Marie Sapienza of “explicit sexual behavior and lewd and lascivious conduct” while he was her teacher at an exclusive Massachusetts boarding school.

“This case arises out of the sexual abuse in Massachusetts of Plaintiff, Marie Sapienza, when she was a minor by Defendant, Alexander Theroux, a former teacher at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. The Plaintiff met Defendant Alexander Theroux when Plaintiff was a student at Phillips Academy and when Defendant Alexander Theroux was a teacher at Phillips Academy,” the lawsuit read.

The horrific allegations against Justin’s uncle was further described in Sapienza's court filing.

“On one occasion in approximately 1982, when the Plaintiff was approximately 15 years old, Defendant Alexander Theroux engaged in explicit sexual behavior and lewd and lascivious conduct with the Plaintiff including, but not limited to, Defendant Alexander Theroux fondling the Plaintiff’s breasts and Defendant Alexander Theroux fondling the Plaintiff’s buttocks, all for the purposes of Defendant Alexander Theroux’s sexual gratification."

She said the encounters occurred in Alexander's Andover, Massachusetts home — and the teacher promised her good grades in his class.

In his response, filed on June 1, 2017, Alexander denied all of the allegations.

Sapienza demanded $5,000,000 in the suit.

Sapienza, who is now an attorney and a New Hampshire state representative, described the damage she suffered after the alleged abuse in the documents.

“As a result of Defendant Alexander Theroux’s explicit sexual behavior and lewd and lascivious conduct with the Plaintiff, the Plaintiff suffers, has suffered, and will continue to suffer in the future severe emotional distress and physical harm manifested by objective symptomatology, including, but not limited to, suicidal ideation, depression, sadness, anger, anxiety, sleep problems, and panic attacks.”

Alexander’s famous works include books Darconville’s Cat and Laura Warholic: or, The Sexual Intellectual.

She claimed that she reported the abuse at the time to the school.

The school admitted in 2016 that Alexander Theroux was one of three faculty members at Andover who were accused of abuse of students in the 1970s and 80s.

Head of school John Palfrey wrote a letter to the Andover school community about the investigation.

“Sanghavi Law Office concluded that Alexander Theroux, formerly a writer-in-residence, engaged in sexual misconduct toward a student in the 1970s. During this investigative process, the school received multiple concerns related to Mr. Theroux’s behavior toward students. Mr. Theroux has denied these allegations. In accordance with school policy, Mr. Theroux has been barred from campus and from Andover events.”

Sapienza’s case against Alexander was dismissed with prejudice on February 28, 2018.

Justin's reps have not responded to RadarOnline.com's request for comment.

As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported last month, Justin has another close family member in legal trouble. In 2010, Justin's brother Sebastien was arrested for driving under the influence and cocaine possession. Sebastien plead guilty, and was ordered to attend a drug court program. After successfully completing the program, the case was dismissed.
