Son Of Sam Victim Blasts Serial Killer — 'I Hope He Drops Dead!'

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

A New York man shot in the head by twisted Son of Sam serial killer David Berkowitz exclusively told RadarOnline.com he hopes the maniac "rots in hell!"

Robert Violante made the declaration after hearing about Berkowitz's failing ticker and his attempt to get a $750,000 heart transplant — at taxpayers' expense!

"I hope he rots in hell," Violante told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. "I could care less about that man. I hope he drops dead!"

Back in July 1977, Violante, then 20, was sitting in a parked car with his 19-year-old date, Stacy Moskowtiz, when the lurking psycho blasted away at the two lovebirds with a .44 caliber handgun.

The bullet ripped through Violante skull, permanently blinding him in his left eye, while his date died 18 hours later from her injuries.

The now 64-year-old murderer was sentenced to life in prison after a shooting spree in a 1970s reign of terror. He claimed his devil dog ordered to do the attacks. Six people were killed and seven were injured by the time Berkowitz was arrested in August 1977.
