Harvey Weinstein and The Weinstein Company are being sued by the New York Attorney General's Office.

They are being targeted for alleged civil rights violations in the workplace.

New York's AG, Eric Schneiderman, filed the suit against Harvey Weinstein, his brother Bob Weinstein and the entire Weinstein Company.

The AG alleges they violated the state's civil rights laws and NYC's human rights laws during the disgraced movie producer's time in charge.

Schneiderman contends Weinstein persistently sexually harassed female employees at his company by personally creating a hostile work environment and demanding quid pro quo sexual favors for continued employment or career advancement.

He alleges Weinstein used his position at TWC along with female employees and company resources to serve his own sexual interests as other women sought employment or business opportunities with his company.

The Attorney General slams their HR Department while claiming that Bob Weinstein and the rest of the board of directors were complicit in Harvey Weinstein's actions by refusing to act on numerous complaints.

Schneiderman is demanding over $350,000 for each violation while demanding any women bound to non-disclosure agreements with the company be released from them.
