Beloved country singer Daryle Singletary died suddenly early Monday morning in his Nashville home, and his wife Holly Mercer was the one who discovered his body and called 911, Radaronline.com has exclusively learned.
Wilson County Emergency Management responded to a police call from Singletary's Tennessee home at about 4:30 a.m., a spokesperson for the Wilson County Police Department told Radar.
"Our investigators did do their preliminary assessment like they would do for anyone and everything appeared to be natural — no foul play," noted the spokesperson. "It appears to be some type of medical condition unfortunately."
"They found Mr. Singletary, and it looks like he has passed in his sleep," added the spokesperson. "As for the the the reason why, it was due to an unknown medical condition. Nothing looked out of place or suspicious by any means."
While unconfirmed, reports says the singer passed away from a blood clot.
The star had just performed on Friday in Alabama and he appeared to be in good health.
Singeltary is best known for his hit 1995 songs "I let her lie" and "Too Much Fun."
He was 46-years-old.
