Mark Wahlberg Donates His Salary After News That Michelle Williams Earned Far Less

Mark Wahlberg has donated all the money he made on reshoots of his film All The Money In The World after Jessica Chastain revealed his co-star, Michelle Williams, had earned far less.
The actor announced the donation is being made to #TimesUp, the legal fund for sexual abuse and harassment victims that was established late last year, as Deadline reported.
Wahlberg, 46, said in a statement, "Over the last few days my reshoot fee for All The Money in the World has become an important topic of conversation. I 100% support the fight for fair pay and I'm donating the $1.5 million to the Time's Up Legal Defense Fund in Michelle Williams' name."
According to reports, the gender disparity reshoots pay gap caused shock because while Wahlberg got $1.5 million, Williams, 37, was paid a $1,000 per diem. The reshoots were needed after director Ridley Scott had to eliminate the Money movie scenes with disgraced actor Kevin Spacey and replace them with those featuring replacement Christopher Plummer.
As RadarOnline.com has reported, actress Jessica Chastain was the first to blow the whistle on the allegedly unfair salary difference.
Speaking of the pay gap between the two All the Money in the World stars, Chastain, 40, tweeted this Tuesday about Williams: "I heard for the reshoot she got $80 a day compared to his MILLIONS. Would anyone like to clarify?" Chastain wrote in response to a user's tweet. "I really hope that with everything coming to light, she was paid fairly. She's a brilliant actress and is wonderful in the film."
Later, after another user tweeted how "shameful" it was that "Wahlberg was paid $1.5M for 'All the Money' reshoot, Williams got less than $1,000," Williams' outspoken BFF, actress Busy Philipps, responded, "SHAMEFUL IS CORRECT."
But now, the buff Lone Survivor star has made things right by donating his controversial salary.
