Bitter Blood! NBC Freaking Out Over Ann Curry Telling All On Matt Lauer Sex Scandal

Ann Curry opened up for the first time about Matt Lauer's sex assault scandal as well as her shocking 2012 firing from Today, and now RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively NBC is freaking out over the disgruntled host's explosive comments.

As readers know, Curry, 61, told CBS she thought her former rivals November firing was "well overdue." In the bombshell interview she also revealed she "wasn't surprised" by the sexual misconduct allegations made against the disgraced anchor.

Curry also said her firing from the NBC morning show in 2012 "hurt like hell." During the time of her shocking exit speculation that her firing had been due in part to a lack of "chemistry" with her co-anchor Lauer.

Meanwhile, execs at the Peacock Network are losing composure over Curry's shocking decision to finally break her silence. "NBC had hoped Ann would have chosen to not speak out about Matt and her employment, and they had actually been caught off guard that she chose to finally speak out," an insider reveals exclusively to RadarOnline.com.

Years after her dismissal from the show, Curry still has a strict NDA with NBC which prevents her from ever publicly revealing details about specific incidents that she is aware, however, the network is in between a rock and a hard place.

"The NBC legal department is closely monitoring what Ann says publicly," says the informant, "but what if she does say something she isn't supposed to?"

The source notes NBC is hesitant to send Curry a cease and desist letter in the current climate.

"If the cease and desist letter leaked to media, NBC would once again be the bad guy," notes the source.

"NBC continues to protect men in power," revealed the source.
