A former cast member of The Real Housewives of Miami has been rocked by a shocking cocaine scandal!

According to CBS Miami, Pedro Luis Rosello, the ex-husband of Alexia Echevarria, appeared before the judge in federal magistrate court today to answer charges he tried to unload a shocking two kilograms of cocaine.

Rosello married Echevarria in 1992, shortly before he was arrested and sentenced to 24 years in prison for cocaine smuggling for the Willy Falcon and Sal Magluta drug organization. He served almost five years behind bars on the charge, during which time Echevarria, 50, filed for divorce.

In his latest run-in with the law, Rosello, also known as Louis Mendez, was arrested on Nov. 8 by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

On Nov. 7, according to the criminal complaint, a confidential informant tipped off police that Rosello was looking to sell five kilos of coke.

According to the official report, Rosello was willing to let the tipster inspect a kilo and would provide four more upon approval.

The next day, according to police, Rosello had two kilograms of cocaine on him when he visited a Florida City home, where he met with the informant. During the meeting, Rosello allegedly told the tipster that he could provide a total of five kilos of the drug in exchange for $28,000.

When the informant told Rosello he would pay up later, Rosello left the house with the drugs in tow, unaware that police were tracking his movements.

Officers made a traffic stop, and Rosello granted them the right to search his car, where a police dog alerted to a hidden backseat compartment that held the two kilos of cocaine, according to officials.

Rosello, who reportedly confessed his guilt to Homestead, Fla., police, was charged with “Possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine.”
