Missing girl Elizabeth Thomas, 15, and her 50-year-old Tennessee teacher, Tad Cummins, reportedly wrote love letters to each other.
The underage student and much older teacher have been on the run together for two weeks, as RadarOnline.com has reported.
And now, the Daily Mail has revealed that the two allegedly wrote love letters to each other and saved them as draft emails on his classroom computer before they ran away together.
Thomas and Cummins vanished from Columbia, Tennessee, on March 13 and haven't been seen since.
Before they went on the run, they left romantic letters for one another on Cummins' classroom computer at Culleoka School, the Daily Mail noted.
In one missive, Cummins wrote, "I saw you standing next to your backpack this morning."
The note went on to describe parts of the teenager's body, investigators told WAAY.
Maury County District Attorney Brent Cooper explained the shocking way they communicated, saying, "They would write the message and let it save as a draft. The other person would log in, read the message and then delete it and then write another message that was saved as a draft.
"If you read them you would immediately recognize you are reading messages between two people who have a romantic interest in each other," Cooper said.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Thomas went missing with her armed former teacher and police expressed deep concern over "his intentions for her."
And the high school freshman's family has begged Cummins through the media to let her go.
Thomas' devastated father Anthony said, "What Tad did, he stole my daughter from me…We are going to get her back."
Family attorney Jason Whatley has told PEOPLE that Thomas was taken against her will: "This is a 15-year-old girl — and if they are together, she has been groomed by a 50-year-old authority figure."
Another student at their school reported seeing the 15-year-old and her teacher kissing on the lips in the classroom on January 23. Although the incident was allegedly reported to authorities, Cummins continued teaching there.
Cummins was filmed on surveillance footage buying dark brown women's hair dye and chillingly, the girl wrote on her social media about a "mission" that was "almost complete."
