Now that Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford's affair secret is out, Star Wars co-star Mark Hamill is getting his say on it all!
In a juicy tell-all interview at the premiere event for launch of the Comic Con HQ network at the Paley Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday with Entertainment Tonight, the 65-year-old weighed in on the scandal.
"I was so self-involved at that point, they could've been doing it in front of me and I wouldn't have noticed," he said with a laugh. "I was single and had my own agenda."
Later, Hamill warned that while off-screen romances can be "commonplace" for actors, it's an equally "tricky" situation — for everyone.
"If the relationship doesn't last and you're on a TV series and you got four more seasons to go, it can be really awkward," Hamill told ET.
"It happened to me. I was with a girl who was playing my sister on a soap opera, General Hospital," he added, referring to his whirlwind romance with co-star Anne Wyndham in the early 1970s.
As for Ford and Fisher's hot-and-heavy affair, Hamill was relieved to be uninvolved, sharing: "I think it might have been a distraction if I'd known what was going on."
As RadarOnline.com reported, Fisher revealed the shocking secret for the first time last month, claiming Ford seduced her after getting her drunk on the set of first Star Wars movie!
Now 60, the former Princess Leia blew the whistle on her forbidden romance with Han Solo in her new book, The Princess Diarist, exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com.
Harrison was a 34-year-old married father of two when he met the fresh-faced, 19-year-old Carrie on the London set of the blockbuster sci-fi classic. The daughter of showbiz royals, Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, Carrie kept a diary of the affair (used in many excerpts), in which she said she tried "relentlessly" to make him love her and fantasized that he would ask her to marry him and give her a "gold band with diamonds (inscribed) 'Carrison.'"
But at the finish of the 1976 shoot, Harrison returned to his wife Mary and two sons. Their marriage broke up soon after, Carrie wrote, but she insisted the divorce was "for reasons having nothing whatsoever to do with me."
