Now that Kill All Cancer has been shut down, Vicki Gunvalson is downplaying her involvement in the charity!

RadarOnline.com first reported that the cancer charity's website was shut down last week after it was confirmed to not be registered with the California Attorney General's Registry of Charitable Trusts.

"We just shut the website down," Gunvalson explained to RadarOnline.com exclusively at Mohegan Sun's 20th Anniversary after party.

"We had some really bad — one bad guy that decided to say it wasn't a truthful charity which is a lie," she continued. "So we voluntarily shut the site down and we'll bring it back up, but it's too bad that people don't see the good that charity was trying to do for cancer survivors."

"My brother-in-law is dying from cancer," the reality star added. "I had two friends die last year. So I'll do whatever I can to use my platform to help others."

"It's unfortunate that people think I was taking money from them," she insisted. "No, I was giving my time to it!"

"I was a spokesperson for it," she concluded. "It wasn't my charity."

RadarOnline.com previously reported that Gunvalson, 54, promoted the charity on The Real Housewives of Orange County and filmed a commercial for the now-defunct website. She became involved after her ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers fabricated cancer treatment documents.

Her fellow Housewives turned on her as a result, with Tamra Judge most recently slamming her for being in on the scam.

"I'm authentic," the mom-of-two insisted to RadarOnline.com. "I didn't lie about any cancer scam. That's just ridiculous!"

"It's so hurtful for some of my cast members to want to hang on to it — for whatever reason I don't know," she added. "Maybe they don't want to talk about themselves, but I know what I went through."

"It makes me angry and sad that anyone would believe I'm in on a scam when people are dying and suffering from cancer every day," she concluded. "There's a 50 percent chance I'm gonna get cancer. Do you think I really would lie about it?"
