Tom Cruise is still Scientology's biggest cheerleader! For the first time in years, the actor spoke publicly on the church, praising its positive effect on his life.
While walking the red carpet to promote his latest action flick, Jack Reacher 2: Never Go Back, a reporter stopped the 54-year-old to discuss David Miscavige's infamous organization.
When asked about Louis Theroux's controversial 2015 documentary, My Scientology Movie, Cruise stopped in his tracks for a moment. Once he recovered, the actor chose to praise the religion and not directly address the film.
"It's something that has helped me incredibly in my life, I've been a Scientologist for over 30 years," he answered. "It's something, you know, without it, I wouldn't be where I am. So it's a beautiful religion, I'm incredibly proud."
Meanwhile, Scientology reporter Tony Ortega recently revealed new information about Cruise, alleging that a ten-story condo building at the center of the church's Clearwater, Fl., campus is being prepped as a super penthouse for the Hollywood hunk, who purchased the building earlier this year.
