It's been one week since Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint while alone in a swanky Paris apartment — and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the she is not taking chances when it comes to her safety.

However, after the 35-year-old reality superstar hired a security team consisting of armed guards and former Secret Service agents, it seems the star has gone too far.

"Kim is being absolutely ridiculous!" a family insider told Radar.

According to the source, the mother of North, 3, and 9-month-old Saint, "is afraid to leave her house right now and, the fact that she is considering buying an armored vehicle makes all of her sisters very concerned."

"Everyone just feels like Kim is being paranoid and is taking this to the extreme."

As Radar reported, Kardashian has cancelled all public appearances, as well as paid gigs. In addition, E! announced that the family's reality show, KUWTK, is "on-hold indefinitely."

So how is the Kardashian cash cow making money right now? She is not, sources said.

"Kanye is spending a fortune to make sure that Kim feels safe, but they are spending more on her personal security than she is making," the source told Radar.

"Kim is back home at her safe house in a gated community in L.A.," the insider said. "It is not like she is stuck in some no-name hotel in the middle of Paris by herself with millions in jewelry."
