Pippa Middleton is opening up like never before! In a bombshell new interview with the Daily Mail, the 33-year-old dished on her new charity cookbook, Heartfelt, her engagement, and how fame has changed her reputation.
"I have had a few years of being in the public eye and I have developed something of a thick skin," she told the publication of her life in the public eye. "But managing it all on my own has been quite hard. I have quite a lot thrown at me, such as being followed by people hiding behind cars and jumping out with cameras. It can be unnerving."
Just because Duchess of Cambridge sister Kate is surrounded by a security detail at all times, it doesn't mean Pippa gets any outside help.
"There's always something cropping up and that has to be managed on my own. It's been a real eye-opener for my fiancé James. There have been quite a few hurdles to negotiate," she noted.
Pippa also revealed that she hopes her reputation as a British wild child will eventually come to an end.
"People see me as someone privileged who has used my position to advantage; that I don't really work, that I am a socialite — that word really irritates me — and that I'm a party girl without any substance."
As for her multi-millionaire fiancé, James Matthews, the nutrition-focused author opened up for the first time about her 41-year-old hunk.
"I think James and I have the same spirit," she says. "We are both competitive. We have had many adventures together. We have a lot in common and that helps. I don't think it would work with a couch potato."
"I think we do exhaust most people," she laughed of their exercise-heavy activities.
As Pippa prepares for her upcoming nuptials, the starlet must surely brace herself for a very public lead-up to the wedding.
