Kate Gosselin's Fractured Family: Son Collin Has 'Anger Issues' & Hannah Ran Away!

As Kate Plus 8 fans know, Kate Gosselin recently revealed that her young son Collin was sent away to a treatment center for "special needs." The reality star, however, refused to elaborate on the nature of her 12-year-old's troubles.
But now RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned more about the boy's deep-seated problems that landed him in a Philadelphia-area facility nearly two hours from the family home.
"Collin has serious anger issues," an insider close to the mother of eight, 41, tells Radar. "He frequently lashes out."
Though Collin demonstrated bad behavior from an early age — Kate has said that he "challenged" her authority even as a toddler — the issues were exacerbated by his parents' nasty divorce and dad Jon's subsequent absence.
"Collin desperately needed a mother and a father," the source continues. "Now, he is resentful and blames his mother for everything."
Kate, who raises her enormous brood alone while dad Jon has visitation with some of the kids, admitted to "spanking" Collin during his early outbursts in exposed private diaries.
But years later, her own anger toward her son turned to pain, the insider claims.
"This has been extremely heartbreaking for Kate," the source says, adding that she has rejected help from friends in an effort to keep the battle private. "She is really struggling."
Collin's fellow preteen sextuplet Hannah has also been acting out of control, as the source confirms reports that the 12-year-old ran away from home last year and refused to leave her father's house for four days.
While 15-year-old twins Mady and Cara have shunned Jon, Hannah "loves her dad and feels bad for him," the source explains. "She's very sensitive."
Eventually, Hannah returned home to her mother — but problems remain, the insider claims.
"She wishes she could be with both parents and feels caught in between them."
