Dating Dud! Bloated Ben Affleck 'Miserable' & Unable To Move On

RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that one of the reasons Jennifer Garner, 44, is still often spotted by her ex Ben Affleck's side is because it's a position nobody else desires to be in these days!

"Ben is just too miserable for anyone to want to hang around," a friend of the actor told RadarOnline.com.

Still, Affleck, 44, has "pretty much abandoned all hope" of saving his marriage and is pining to start a new life — and score a hot date — for the Oscars this winter. The only problem? "He can't find anyone interested in him with all his baggage," said the friend.

Even his best buddy, Matt Damon, who is no fan of Garner and would like to see Affleck move on, is having no success playing matchmaker.

"He's been introducing him to girls, but Ben's lost his confidence and women are just turned off," said the friend, adding that it doesn't help that "Ben's a total wreck right now, working way too hard and looking really bad."

"Even Jen has told him he looks tired and grumpy at the moment — and she's one-hundred percent right."
