While Kris Jenner's creation Keeping Up with the Kardashians is going strong after nine years and 12 seasons, her ex's reality series won't live to see the same success.

Caitlyn Jenner's E! show I Am Cait has been canceled after just two seasons, multiple sources exclusively confirm to RadarOnline.com

"There just weren't enough viewers," a production insider explains to RadarOnline.com. (According to The Hollywood Reporter, just 745,000 viewers tuned into the last season premiere in March.) "The show can't compete with other programming."

In addition, the source claims, the series was received poorly by the trans community Jenner had hoped would embrace her.

"Caitlyn just wasn't relatable," the insider says of the Donald Trump supporter, 66, who often clashed with her liberal friends on the show. "Trans viewers did not see her as one of them." (A spokesperson for E! insists "no decision has been made" regarding the series' future.)

I Am Cait kicked off last summer to chronicle the Olympic gold medalist's gender transition from male to female, and introduction to LGBTQ issues. During the second season, she embarked on a road trip with gal pals including author Jennifer Finney Boylan and actress Candis Cayne.

Jenner frequently fought with her friends over her reluctance to support trans-friendly politicians.

In the spring, RadarOnline.com first reported that the show was on the chopping block.

"She is struggling to accept that she is not going to have the spotlight anymore," an insider said at the time. "She does not know what she is going to do once this is over."
