Henry Cavill may be Superman, but IRL, he's just a regular guy — albeit, a very, very in shape regular guy.
The Man of Steel star covers the September issue of Men's Fitness, on newsstands Aug. 8, discussing how he keeps his work-life balance as well as balance in the gym, which he frequently documents on Instagram.
"I was very fit, then I was not very fit, then I was very fit again, then I was not very fit," he said. "Now that I'm fit again, I think I've found a comfortable balance, which is enjoyable because we all like to go out for drinks and have pizza and have dinners and all the nice things in life, and not being a complete gym psycho."
In fact, one of the 33-year-old's challenges as a superstar is maintaining a friends-and-family-centric life in London, having shunned the trappings Hollywood often boasts its mega stars.
"If I ever become an egomaniac, then I've messed it up," he joked.
Cavill even shrugged off having an ego if he ever lands the role of James Bond, a character he's expressed wishes of playing.
"It'd be awesome to play Bond, a classic Bond, really," he mused. "I wouldn't play the same kind of Bond as Daniel Craig because that's an amazing Bond, and I don't think I'd be the person to outdo Daniel Craig at doing Daniel Craig's Bond. I would love to do a different version and just have enormous amounts of fun with it."
