Presidential Election 2016
Trump Reportedly Grooming Chris Christie To Be Vice President

Chris Christie may end up in the White House after all, as new reports claim that Donald Trump is seriously vetting the Jersey Gov. as his running mate.
Once a Trump foe and now one of his biggest defenders, Christie — who endorsed Trump back in February — has been reported to be one of the billionaire's top picks for the vacant VP spot.
It's been a bumpy road to this point. Trump has roasted Christie for his weight, famously directed the governor to "go home" at a campaign event, and once even left Christie to soak up the rain as the presidential candidate protected himself underneath his lone umbrella.
But based on a New York Times report , Christie is, in fact, being vetted as Trump's VP pick. One anonymous source told CNN that the governor even received paperwork necessary for the vetting process.
Christie has been considered as a potential running mate to the presumptive GOP nominee for months now, though Christie has denied the allegations. He said at a press conference that his only intention was to "serve the rest of my term as governor until Jan. 16, 2018, and then return to the private sector," NJ.com reported.
