Jenelle Evans has been preparing to take her ex Nathan Griffith to court to get full custody of their son Kaiser, who turns 2 in June.
But RadarOnline.com has learned that Evans also plans to get Griffith to pay her major child support.
"Jenelle is putting the child support on Nathan," a source told Radar.
According to the source, Evans feels like her baby daddy should pay up because she believes he is still getting hefty checks from the government each month for his past military service.
"She thinks he owes her something," the source said. "He was getting over $3,000 a month in 2014. It's called 'compensation' for being 'disabled' as a result if his deployment."
According to a source, Nathan got monthly compensation in the past for his post-traumatic stress disorder getting worse and a "disabling" brain injury.
Evans is hoping that the judge will also rule in favor of her getting back-payments dating from when she and Griffith broke up.
"Jenelle doesn't know how much she will get," the source said. "It depends on how much they make him pay per month and then it will all be added up."
The source confirmed that the two exes are scheduled to appear in court next month to determine child support guidelines.
"The child support court case is in April for Jenelle and Nathan," the source said.
According to the source, the former couple will also be dealing with their custody date "at the end of this month."
As Radar previously reported, Evans is also seeking to regain custody of her 6-year-old son Jace, who currently lives with her own mother Barbara Evans.
