Tyra Banks Welcomes A Son Via Surrogate

Tyra Banks is a mom!
The 42-year-old supermodel announced that she and her boyfriend, Erik Asla are the proud parents of a baby boy, born via surrogate.
"The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here," she wrote on Instagram with a picture of a baby's hat. "He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone."
Banks then revealed the baby's name: "York Banks Asla, welcome to the world."
The former FABLife host, spoke passionately about wanting to become a mother.
"We're kind of going through this similar thing with IVF," Banks said to Chrissy Teigen on the show when she discussed her own fertility struggle. "And, you know, putting needles in your tummy every day and having to come to work and smile when you feel like you want to throw up and lay down — I can't believe I'm saying this right now!"
