Court Date Revealed! Leah Messer & Corey Simms To Battle Over Custody In New Hearing
The date has been set!
Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer and her ex-husband, Corey Simms, will face off in West Virginia court for a custody hearing on January 27, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
Despite their infamous bad blood, the parents to 6-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah are both required to attend the meeting, an insider added.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, a judge traded primary custody of the girls from Messer to Simms in October, citing repeated school absences under the rehab vet's care in his ruling.
According to sources, both sides are confident in their chances of winning.
"Corey thinks the judge will keep the arrangement the same," a family insider told RadarOnline.com. "Leah hasn't made any changes, so there's no reason to reverse the order."
But friends close to Messer, 23, claimed she has proven her parenting abilities.
"She's optimistic," a source said. "She knows she deserves to get her girls back."

For now, the mother of three is dedicated to leaving a good impression on the court. Though she's still living with her older boyfriend of nine months, personal trainer T.R. Dues, sources told RadarOnline.com she's telling friends she's single.
"Leah knows it doesn't look good for her to have a new man in the house already," a source revealed of the star, who finalized her divorce from ex-husband #2 Jeremy Calvert in June. (Insiders said she began dating Dues, 32, two months prior.)
