Lamar Odom is almost ready for his next big step in the recovery process, as sources say the former NBA star will soon be discharged from the hospital and taken to a live-in rehabilitation center.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the 36-year-old was air-lifted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after his nearly fatal overdose in a Nevada brothel last October.
"The plan is for him to move in the next few days," a source told PEOPLE magazine of his progress. "At the center, Lamar will continue to receive amazing therapy. He still has many challenges but is making progress. He is a fighter!"

Meanwhile, estranged wife Khloe Kardashian continues to root for her former flame, revealing during a press conference for her upcoming talk show Kocktails with Khloé that Odom has been "doing amazing" in recent weeks.
"Because it's not my story to tell, I try to respect that and I want him to be able to tell that story," she said of her ex. "I'm just there to support and care for him."
The holidays were especially happy for Odom, who was able to spend Christmas with his two children Lamar Jr., 13, and Destiny, 17, whom he had with ex Liza Morales.
