The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump loves her pets and was devastated when she discovered one of her precious pooches had passed away.
RadarOnline.com has learned that the 55-year-old veteran reality star and her husband, Ken Todd, 58, returned home from a much-needed vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, this past weekend to find her beloved Pomeranian Daddio dead, RadarOnline.com at their Beverly Hills home.
According to a family friend, Daddio, who was the father of Vanderpump's other Pomeranian, Giggy, "was fully clothed and in his bed" and "looked very at peace."
Now Radar can reveal that the dog died from a heart attack hours before the couple got home.
As Vanderpump mourns the loss of one of her closest companions, she has decided to let Daddio's memory live on through her philanthropic work.
On Dec. 23, Vanderpump, Todd and their partners at Vanderpump Pets rescued three dogs from being slaughtered in the upcoming Yulin China Dog Meat Festival.
"Just as Daddio would have wanted, Lisa will present the three saved dogs to their new foster parents for the holidays at PUMP, her restaurant in West Hollywood," the insider said.
