The hottest food scene in New York isn’t always in Manhattan. Just 25 miles northwest, in the charming village of Harrison, family-owned Gus’s Franklin Park Restaurant has been welcoming boldface names from the Big Apple and beyond since 1931. And thanks to the adjoining seafood store, rebooted in 2014 as the 4,000-square-foot epicurean mecca The Market at Gus’s, the gourmet destination has only become a bigger draw. Ernie Kneuer, grandson of the original Gus, tells RadarOnline.com that he expanded the menu to raves when he took over in 2004: “Lobster and prime ribs are our best sellers, but Anne Hathaway always gets the fresh clams.” Next door, he sells a variety of fresh fish, meats, breads, produce, cheeses and prepared foods, so patrons can bring the taste of Gus’s home every day. gusseafood.com
