Scandal star Columbus Short was arrested on Thursday and taken into custody in Van Nuys, Calif., RadarOnline.com is reporting.
The controversial actor turned himself in after an arrest warrant was issued last month when he failed to appear in court for the criminal domestic violence case against him, stemming from allegations his wife, Tuere Tanee Short, made.
"He then pinned me on the couch and began to choke me," she described of the April 7, 2014 incident in a request for a restraining order .
"He placed the knife close to my neck and threatened to kill me and then kill himself."
Instead of appearing to answer to the allegations in court, Short, 31, fled to the Barbados and continued to skip out on hearings.
Incidentally, Short was also arrested over the July 4th holiday weekend for public intoxication when the troubled actor got into a bar fight.
Short's hearing on that case was today, but he missed it — because he was arrested for the domestic violence case.
